Overview
Corporate verification requires eight company documents. These are standard corporate KYC requirements — your company's registered agent, lawyer, or accountant should be able to provide any that you don't already have.
This article lists all eight documents, explains what each is, and describes the general requirements.
Step-by-step instructions
Follow the steps below to complete this process:
The eight required documents
- Certificate of Incorporation / Registration — the official document confirming your company was legally formed.
- Memorandum of Association — sets out the company's basic details, name, and structure.
- Articles of Association — the rules by which the company is governed.
- Certificate of Good Standing — confirms your company is up to date with regulatory filings and in good standing.
- Board Resolution — a resolution passed by the board authorising the opening of the trading account.
- List of Directors — an official list of all current directors.
- Company Objectives — a document describing your company's business purpose and activities.
- Proof of Listing (if applicable) — required only for publicly listed companies.

Troubleshooting
If you run into issues, the most common causes and fixes are listed below.
You cannot find a required document
- Your registered agent, lawyer, or accountant should be able to provide any missing documents. The Certificate of Incorporation and Memorandum of Association are usually issued when the company is formed; the Certificate of Good Standing and List of Directors can be requested from the incorporating authority.
One of your documents is not in English
- A certified translation may be required. Contact Customer Experience via live chat for confirmation before submitting.
Proof of Listing does not apply to your company
- Proof of Listing is only required for publicly listed companies. Private companies can leave this optional field empty — our team will confirm during review.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How recent does my Certificate of Good Standing need to be?
A: Typically it should be issued within the last 3 to 12 months. If in doubt, request a fresh certificate.
Q: Do all directors need to sign the Board Resolution?
A: The Board Resolution should be passed and signed in line with your company's constitutional documents. Follow the standard signing procedure of your company.
Q: What if my company has a foreign parent — do I need parent company documents too?
A: The 8 documents relate to the company opening the trading account. If our team needs parent company documentation as part of due diligence, we will request it during review.
Q: Can I upload scanned PDFs, or do they need to be photographed?
A: Scanned PDFs are preferred for company documents — they are usually clearer than photos. Ensure the scan captures the full document, including signatures and stamps.
