Step-by-step instructions
Follow the steps below to complete this process:
Steps
- Log in to your Client Portal Dashboard.
- Go to Funds Management → Deposit Funds.
- Select Visa Card.
- Review the fees, maximum deposit, and processing time shown.
- Enter your card details and the deposit amount.
- Confirm the transaction to complete the deposit.
Key rules for Visa deposits
- The card must be in your own name — INGOT does not process third-party card deposits.
- Visa deposits are typically withdrawn via Wire Transfer (see the same-method rule).
- Your card issuer may apply their own foreign transaction fee — outside INGOT's control.
Troubleshooting
If you run into issues, the most common causes and fixes are listed below.
Your card was declined
- Card declines are usually caused by insufficient funds, international payment blocks, or fraud protection flags on your bank's side. Contact your card issuer to unblock the transaction, or try a different deposit method.
Your deposit arrived with a different amount
- Your card issuer may have applied a foreign transaction fee or currency conversion. Check your Account Transactions to see the exact amount credited by INGOT.
Your deposit hasn't arrived
- Check the processing time for Visa deposits shown on the Deposit Funds page. If it's past that time and still not visible in your Account Transactions, contact Customer Experience via live chat.
