You can change the password of any of your trading accounts (Live or Demo) directly from the Accounts tab. This article walks you through the steps and explains the difference between Master and Investor passwords.

Steps
- Log in to your Client Portal Dashboard.
- Select Accounts from the left-side menu.
- Locate the trading account you want to update.
- Click the three vertical dots (⋮) beside the account.
- Select Change Password.
- Enter your new password and save the changes.
Master password vs Investor password
- Master password — grants full trading access (place, modify, close trades). This is the password you use for normal MT4/MT5 login.
- Investor password — read-only access. Anyone with this password can view the account but cannot trade. Useful for sharing view-only access with an analyst or accountant.
After changing your password
- Log back into MT4 or MT5 with the new password.
- Confirm you're using the correct server: INGOTSC-Server for Live accounts, INGOTSC-Demo (MT4) or INGOTSC-Demo2 (MT5) for Demo accounts.
- The Client Portal password is unchanged — this action only affects the trading account password.

You can't log in to MT4/MT5 with the new password
- Confirm you're using the correct server for your account type (Live or Demo) and platform (MT4 or MT5). Also confirm the password was actually saved — try setting it again if unsure.
You forgot both passwords
- You don't need to remember the old passwords to change them. Go to the Accounts tab, click the three-dot menu, and select Change Password to set a new one.
