How to find the correct server (INGOTSC-Server)

When you log in to MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, you must select the correct server. For all INGOT SC Ltd live trading accounts, the server is INGOTSC-Server.

Selecting the wrong server is one of the most common login failures, even when your credentials are correct.

 

Step-by-step instructions

To select the correct server in MetaTrader:

  1. Open the MetaTrader app on your device.
  2. Begin the login flow (see the dedicated MT4 or MT5 login article for device-specific steps).
  3. When prompted to select a broker, search for INGOT SC Ltd and select it.
  4. When prompted to select a server, choose INGOTSC-Server from the list.
  5. Continue with your trading account number and password.

Troubleshooting

  • INGOTSC-Server does not appear in the server list

    • Make sure you have selected INGOT SC Ltd as the broker first. If the server still does not appear, update your MT4 or MT5 app to the latest version and try again.

  • You see a different server with a similar name

    • Pay close attention to the exact spelling — the correct server is INGOTSC-Server. Demo accounts may use a different server name; the correct server for your account is included in your welcome email.

  • You selected the wrong server and the login failed

    • Return to the broker selection screen, choose INGOT SC Ltd, and select INGOTSC-Server. Your credentials are still valid — only the server selection needs to change.

A: For live trading accounts at INGOT SC Ltd, yes. Demo accounts may use a separate server, indicated in your welcome email.
