How to log in to MetaTrader 5

MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is the newer version of the MetaTrader platform, offering additional features such as more timeframes, more order types, and an integrated economic calendar.

The login process is identical to MT4 — same broker name (INGOT SC Ltd), same server (INGOTSC-Server), and the same credential structure. Use the account number and password from your welcome email.

 

Step-by-step instructions

Follow the instructions below for your device:

iPhone or iPad (iOS)

  1. Open the MetaTrader 5 app.
  2. Tap Settings at the bottom right.
  3. Tap New Account.
  4. Tap Login to an existing account.
  5. Search for INGOT SC Ltd and select it.
  6. Choose the server INGOTSC-Server.
  7. Enter your trading account number and trading password.
  8. Tap Sign In.

 

Android phone or tablet

  1. Open the MetaTrader 5 app.
  2. Tap the menu icon at the top left.
  3. Tap Manage Accounts.
  4. Tap the + icon to add a new account.
  5. Tap Login to an existing account.
  6. Search for INGOT SC Ltd and select it.
  7. Choose the server INGOTSC-Server.
  8. Enter your trading account number and trading password.
  9. Tap Sign In.

 

Windows desktop

  1. Open the MetaTrader 5 application.
  2. Click File in the top menu.
  3. Click Login to Trade Account.
  4. If INGOT is not in the server list, click File then Open an Account, and search for INGOT SC Ltd.
  5. Select the server INGOTSC-Server.
  6. Enter your trading account number and trading password.
  7. Click Login.

 

Mac desktop

MetaTrader 5 does not have an official Mac version. You can use one of the following alternatives:

  1. Use the MT5 Web Trader from your browser.
  2. Use the MT5 mobile app on iPhone or iPad.
  3. Run the Windows version of MT5 using a virtualization tool.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot log in, work through these common causes:

  • You see "Invalid Account"

    • Confirm you have selected INGOTSC-Server and that you are using the trading account number from your welcome email, not your Client Portal email.

  • You see "Authorization Failed"

    • The password is incorrect. Check the welcome email for the original password, or reset your trading account password from the Client Portal.

  • INGOT does not appear in the broker list

    • Type the full broker name "INGOT SC Ltd". Make sure your MT5 app is on the latest version.

  • The app keeps disconnecting

    • Restart the app, check your internet connection, and confirm you are on the correct server (INGOTSC-Server).
