Overview
MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is the trading platform used to place trades on your INGOT trading account. To log in, you need the credentials sent in your welcome email, along with the correct broker and server name.
These credentials are different from your Client Portal login. Make sure you are using your trading account number — not your email address — and the trading password from your welcome email.

The login steps differ by device. Follow the instructions for the device you are using:

Mac desktop
MetaTrader does not have an official Mac version. You can use one of the following alternatives:
- Use the MT4 Web Trader from your browser without installing anything.
- Use the MT4 mobile app on iPhone or iPad.
- Run the Windows version of MT4 using a virtualization tool such as Parallels or PlayOnMac.
Troubleshooting
If MT4 will not let you log in, the most common causes are below.
You see "Invalid Account"
- You are most likely on the wrong server or using the wrong credentials. Confirm you have selected INGOTSC-Server, then check the welcome email titled "It's Official: You're a Trader!" for your correct account number and password.
You see "No Connection"
- Check your internet connection. Confirm you have selected INGOTSC-Server. If the issue persists, restart the app or try connecting from a different network.
INGOT does not appear in the broker list
- Type the full broker name "INGOT SC Ltd" in the search field. Make sure your MT4 app is updated to the latest version. If you still cannot find it, try reinstalling the app.
You see "Authorization Failed"
- This usually means the account number or password is incorrect. Verify both values from your welcome email. If still failing, reset your trading account password from the Client Portal.
