Overview
If you have forgotten your Client Portal password or want to change it for security reasons, you can reset it yourself in a few steps. This article walks you through the full reset process and explains the password requirements.
Your Client Portal password is separate from your trading account password. Resetting your Portal password does not affect your MT4 or MT5 trading credentials.

- Click the reset link inside the email. The link is valid for a limited time and can only be used once.
- Enter your new password and confirm it. Your password must meet the requirements listed below.
- Click Save. You can now log in with your new password.
Troubleshooting
If you run into issues during the reset, the most common causes and fixes are listed below.
You did not receive the reset email
- Check your spam or junk folder, confirm the email address you entered is the one registered to your INGOT account, and wait up to 10 minutes during high traffic. If the email still has not arrived, request a new reset link.
The reset link is not working
- Reset links expire after 30 to 60 minutes and can only be used once. Request a new link if yours has expired. You can also try opening the link in a different browser or in private/incognito mode.
You no longer have access to your registered email
- For your security, email changes require identity re-verification by our team and cannot be processed through chat. Please contact Customer Experience with a clear photo of your government-issued ID (front and back) and a selfie of you holding the ID.
Your new password is being rejected
- Confirm your new password meets all the requirements: 8 to 15 characters, at least one uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, and special character.
